Every detail, from the upper to the sole, is designed to enhance foot comfort over long distances: wide, comfortable fit designed for use in ultra-marathons, comfort fit, wraparound, flexible elastic tongue for maximum freedom of movement with internal gusset to protect from rocks and mud. The lacing has loops incorporated directly into the side panels of the upper: a solution that facilitates volume adjustment during long-distance runs when the foot tends to swell. The Net-Mesh side panels promote ventilation and climate comfort. The heart of the Jackal, however, lies in the innovative EVA sole/midsole assembly with internal Infinitoo™ Technology high energy return polyurethane cushioning pads. The front element increases cushioning, the rear insert helps stabilize the run. The midsole also incorporates a high-density EVA Rock-Shield for a more stable run with rock-guard effect. The Frixion Red outsole with differentiated Impact Brake System lugs and longitudinal FLEX grooves enhances sole flexibility along bend lines. The lightweight, impact-resistant, thermoformed toe cap contributes to the shoe's light weight and protection, while the two-component FriXion Red outsole ensures maximum grip and durability.
